Sophia is a rising senior at Spelman College, earning a Bachelor's in Environmental Science with minors in International Studies and Environmental Health. She has served as an AUC Clean Energy Fellow and Girl + Environment Energy Justice Ambassador and believes everyone should be a climate advocate, especially her young adult peers. Post-grad, Sophia plans to pursue environmental and electrical engineering with aspirations to innovate the clean energy industry. She believes greening the energy sector and widespread education on environmental science and human-induced climate change are the keys to a truly sustainable, equitable future for all.
In her free time, Sophia loves playing volleyball, learning languages with aspirations of polyglottery, and adrenaline-rush activities like zip-lining. She is overjoyed to join the Good Energy team for the summer and looks forward to learning and producing work to help as many people as possible fight climate change through innovative energy systems.
