On Jan. 9, Good Energy released the following statement from Good Energy Managing Director of Policy and External Affairs Jackie Toth.
“Good Energy Collective has been impressed with Chairman Hanson’s capable leadership of the NRC. We share President Biden’s confidence in Chairman Hanson’s ability to lead the agency through its busiest period in recent memory.
“Chairman Hanson has overseen the NRC’s issuance of its first-ever small modular reactor design certification. He has spoken favorably of taking action, alongside his colleagues, to enhance the agency’s competencies in meaningfully engaging the public in the NRC’s activities. And he has prioritized strengthening the agency’s collaboration with our regulatory counterparts around the world. We hope the Senate will quickly consider and confirm him for another term on the commission.”
